Syracuse to go to Black Island Farms Harvest Festival,
more commonly known as the pumpkin patch. It was
so much fun for the kids. They went on a ride to go pick
out their very own pumpkin. Along the way on the ride,
they learned about carrots, onions, corn, and some other
crops. The cold spring had apparently tricked some of
the crops into thinking that it was winter already, which
was pretty interesting to me. I also got to see how
sunflower seeds grow in an actual sunflower and it was
pretty neat.
The kids got to go on these great big slides and ride in
a "train" made from big barrels. They also got to watch
the pig races and yell "Suey!!" really loud as the races
began. We got some cute pictures and we'll probably
be back next year!
