ThRuSh...RouNd 4!

For those of you who are unlucky enough to talk to me frequently
about Allie, first of all, I apologize for the saga, and second of all...
it continues! We are still fighting and trying to get rid of the 4th
round of thrush! This time, the yeast spread into a diaper rash,
too! Poor thing has yeast growing everywhere; in her mouth, on
her face around her mouth, and on her bum (and surroundings).

So, these photos are of Allie air-drying out (8-24-08) so that she doesn't have huge sores on her bum. She is naked under the blanket. We thought it was pretty cute. She fell asleep just lying
there naked. The naked therapy helped a lot, and she is looking lots better!

Can'T ForGet AdRi!

Adri's first
day of school was the day after Easton's, August 26th! She
was so excited that Zach and Dexter are both in her class!
She loved playing with the play-dough since I am a mean
mom and do not allow it!)


This is so lame, mom.



I think she is a bit in la-la land (as usual).



Maybe I should've trimmed Easton instead (see below!)


That morning, I decided to cut Adri's bangs (sorry, Mom,
I know that is your area of expertise!) But they were in
desperate need of a trim! Anyway, here's how it went.

Adri: What are you doing?

Me: I am cutting your bangs.

Adri: Why are you cutting my bangs?

Me: They really need a trim because they are kinda fried.

Adri: Oh. So we can buy some new ones at the store?

I just laugh at the cute thoughts of my 2 year old! I am sure
that she thinks we can buy anything, including bangs at the store!

BaCk tO ScHoOl!

Well, the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL came faster than I ever thought it would! Easton was super excited and tired at the same time! He didn't really want to get out of bed! I knew it was going to be hard since the kids are not going to bed well, let alone sleeping well! Anyhow, he got out of bed and we went through the normal rig-a-ma-roll on what he should wear. I wish he didn't care. He just doesn't want to wear the nice clothes that he has! I finally convinced him that he should wear a button down shirt (even though he wasn't going to church!) and some nice shorts and here is how he looked!
Jeff stayed home from work so he could see Easton off on his first daY! Jeff gave Easton a father's blessing and Easton thought it was pretty neat. In fact, he thought that since Adri went to pre-school the next day he (Easton) should give her one too!!

sO daNg fUnNy!

Yesterday, I told Easton that we were going to WalMart to get a few things while Adri was at Colter's birthday party. He whined and complained, and then proceeded to tell me, "Mom, I am not a big 'Store Fan' like you are!" I thought that was quite funny.

Then, today we went to Bukoos to burn some time before we went to Bailey's soccer game, and he said, "Mom you are the shopping queen!" Poor kid. He is already like his dad when it comes to stores.

Not on the shopping subject, Adri was walking very slowly and I told her to hurry up. She said, "Mom, I can't walk fast because my shoes are too long!"

Ward CampOut?

Our ward campout was kindof a flop. The ward split and I
think that everyone decided that they were not going for
one reason or another. Anyhow, we had fun while we were
there and the views were gorgious (somewhere near Eden.)
We did decide that it was a long way for a picnic with our
neighbors, but that's okay. It was probably the only time
that the kids will camp all summer.=)

Adri loves Smarshmellows! Add a little dirt and they are
gourmet!


We were all laughing at our neighbor Kelly. If you look
closely, he has some smarshmellow that he is saving for later!

LaGoOn...aGaiN!

We have been to Lagoon without a camera so
many times this summer. Finally, I brought the
camera and was able to get a few pictures... in
the famous words of Ism, "It's about time!"

aT the gAteWaY

So, after we took Grandma Amy to the airport, we

stopped at the Gateway Mall to do a little shopping.

However, it was so hot that all the kids really

wanted to do was run through the fountains!

(surprising, I know). We didn't have any swimming

suits though, so we had to find some suits there

(which we got for next season). Jeff's says "That's

cost effective." I said that it was more cost effective

than Adri's idea to go home and get our suits and come back!

aT ThE pOoL!

We have this "neighborhood pool"--(actually, Hunter's Creek
has this neighborhood pool) that we like to bum swimming from.
We are always invited by someone who lives there and in addition,
my sister is building a house there, so it is a great activity for the
kids on these hot summer days, even though it is not exactly ours!
They always have lots of fun... here is the proof!

Jeff's niece, Taylor, has been staying with us since last

Wednesday and has been an awesome helper! We have

been trying to do some fun things with her, as well as

get some school clothes shopping done for her. She is so

agreeable and happy to do whatever. The next posts are
